अलमट्टी धरणाच्या उंची वाढीच्या विरोधात शासनाची भूमिका

मुंबई, दि. ११ : राज्यातील शेतकरी आणि रहिवाशांच्या हितासाठी अलमट्टी धरणाची उंची वाढवण्याच्या विरोधात राज्य शासनाची भूमिका असल्याचे जलसंपदा मंत्री राधाकृष्ण विखे पाटील यांनी विधान परिषदेत सांगितले.
सदस्य अरुण लाड यांनी कर्नाटक सरकारने अलमट्टी धरणाची उंची वाढवण्याचा निर्णय घेतला असल्याबाबत उपस्थित केलेल्या लक्षवेधीला उत्तर देताना ते बोलत होते.
जलसंपदा मंत्री विखे – पाटील म्हणाले, राज्य शासनाने अलमट्टी धरणाची उंची वाढवण्यासाठी कोणतीही संमती दिलेली नाही. केंद्र शासन कोणताही निर्णय घेण्यापूर्वी राज्य शासनाचे मत घेतल्याशिवाय निर्णय घेणार नाही. राज्य शासनाने यापूर्वी देखील वेळोवेळी अलमट्टी धरणाच्या उंची वाढीस विरोध केलेला आहे.
पावसाळ्यामध्ये अलमट्टी धरणातील पाण्याच्या स्थितीवर लक्ष ठेवण्यासाठी पूर्ण वेळ अधिकारी नेमण्यात येणार असल्याचेही त्यांनी सांगितले.
